How to Use Intuy Modes?
What is Intuy Modes?
Intuy Modes is a feature only available on Intuy Knee PRO.
Intuy Modes allow the user to perform activities such as snowboarding, skiing, skating, and a self-programmed activity.
The self-programmed activity (Custom) can be configured and changed by the user for his own need.
WARNING:
- Active sports such as snowboarding or skiing have a risk of injury.
- Low temperature can affect the battery life, the functions, and capability of the Intuy Knee. Long-term low-temperature exposure should be avoided.
- Intuy Knee is not waterproof, sufficient protection against snow or water is necessary for Intuy Knee to be functional.
- Prosthetic socket and components must be checked to ensure secure connection to prevent potential injury.
- Test the Intuy Modes on level ground, and feel the resistance provided by the knee and range of motion before going on to the snow or ice.

It is possible to customize Intuy Mode settings for skiing, snowboarding, skating, and the custom activities. Settings that you can adjust are target angle, flexion limit, extension limit, flexion resistance, and extension resistance.
3.1. Parameters and Their Explanation
Extension limit: Maximum allowed extension angle; beyond this angle, the knee will be difficult to extend.
Target Angle: Spring return angle; this is the angle the knee will return to when you stop applying force to the knee.
Flexion limit: Maximum allowed flexion angle; beyond this angle, the knee will be difficult to bend.
Flexion resistance: Resistance in the flexion direction, the lower the easier to flex.
Extension resistance: Resistance in the extension direction, the lower the easier to extend.
3.2. Adjust Parameters
To adjust the parameters, please follow these steps:
- Via Dashboard tab, tap the configure button.
- In the Configure page use the sliders to adjust the settings. We suggest you start with:
- Target Angle

- Extension Resistance
- Save the settings by tapping the save button in top right.
Using the Intuy Mode
How to ski, snowboard, or skate is out of the scope of this tutorial. Intuy Modes are made to emulate the behaviour of the human counterpart as much as possible. It is important that the user learns skiing, snowboarding, or skating from a professional trainer.
